Dragon Age: Origins and Awakening Empty Dragon Age: Origins and Awakening

Has anyone played Dragon Age: Origins, I have to say it is right up there with Mass Effect 2 as one of the Best Games I have ever played, I played it to death a lot more then ME2. It goes into so much detail with backround stories and so many characters. The main issue people seem to have with the game is the fact that you are unable to do the battling yourself (you give commands and the character does them) much like Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.

They did something right with this game, I am a Bioware fan I have no qualms about saying it if they wanted me to do anything I would, and I mean anythingWink. They seem to produce great game after great game. The first Bioware game I played was KOTOR and I was hooked straight away, then Jade Empire and so on. They have that Midus touch with what ever game they touch turns to gold.

A game where you get to be a Human Noble, Human/Elf Mage, Dalish Elf, City Elf, Dwarf Commoner and Dwarf Noble, with detailed back stories and reactions throughout the land is bound to be a winner. They really got it right.

Then announced just before Christmas was Dragon Age: Awakening an Expansion pack due out on March 16th.

With a guranteed minimum of 8 hours play time in the Expansion it is going to be worth the money, you can start a new character import your own have new party characters new enemies completly different areas, it's going to be another winner.

According to BioWare co-founder Dr. Ray Muzyka, "Dragon Age: Origins – Awakening shows BioWare's commitment to our fans by delivering new story-driven experiences which enrich the dark heroic fantasy universe our fans have come to know and love. The vibrant worldwide community of Dragon Age fans will relish uncovering the secret motivations of the darkspawn, revealing how the darkspawn continue to infest the world despite the defeat of the Archdemon."

I got this game as a christmas present from my gf's parents and i love it.
The story is pretty cool and i love listening to the background conversations going on between group.
But i must say i am hooked on it as much as Fallout 3 and AC2.

I also played Jade Empire when it came out first and i was a great fan of that one to. I think bioware have done an awesome job on it and hope it gets some More DLC to,

I'm sorryt to say i have missed out on the MassEffect series which is starting to bug me as i cant find a copy of the first game anywhere and i really want to give it a go. If Dragon Age is anything to go by its awesome.

I followed this game all through production and trailers for months, then when the game came out I had such a backlog I never bought it cause I knew I wouldn't have time to play it. I'm going to wait for the Game of the Year edition which is surely coming around October/November I'd bet. This will probably have all the expansions on it already so I'll make a huge saving. Still looking forward to it!
